Moonlights flashing at 0%
Moonlights flashing at 0%
Exactly like the title says.
I have my moonlights going to 0% at around 11 every night.
Every once in awhile I'll try to sleep before then, so I'll drop the percent down to 0.
The past couple of days, the lights have been flashing at 0%, even when its normally supposed to be at 0.

Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
Do you have any pumps switching on/off, like powerheads or an ATO? I've seen inductive feedback do that.
Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
I do.
I've got a Jebao RW-15 plugged into the daylight dimming port.
Even when I switch both ports to 0%, I'm still getting flashing.

The Jebao stays on Nutrient Export mode most of the time.

Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
Wouldn't be the Jebao. It would be an AC pump like a powerhead or a topoff pump. Maybe a return or skimmer. And only if they switch completely off.

My system is 2 tanks, plumbed together.cosmith71 wrote:Wouldn't be the Jebao. It would be an AC pump like a powerhead or a topoff pump. Maybe a return or skimmer. And only if they switch completely off.
I've got a small Rio AC pump for the ATO.
It stays off currently, because my water level sensor is malfunctioning and causing a bus lock.
Skimmer is a Reef Octopus with a DC pump.
2 AC powerheads in the main system that are not plugged into the Reef Angel anywhere.
There is a Ecotech MP-40 in the secondary system. It is relatively new.
It's not being controlled by the Reef Angel, but it is plugged into a Reef Angel outlet.
There's a Jebao return pump not controlled by the Reef Angel but plugged into an outlet, and a Quiet one 4000 AC pump plugged into a seperate Reef Angel outlet
I think that's about it as far as AC pumps go.
Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
None of which ever switch completely off, except for the ATO.
Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
Its the bus lock. Stop that and you should see better results I think
Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
I've stopped the bus lock. Pretty sure it was the Water level sensor. So I've disconnected itlnevo wrote:Its the bus lock. Stop that and you should see better results I think
Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
So, I've changed out the head unit.
Unplugged every module from the controller and played around.
It seems that it's the moonlight module itself.
Theres no other excuse for the lights not going to 0% when they should.

Post your code.
Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
If you connect the moonlight module directly to the dimming channel, does it do the same thing?
Roberto.
Re: Moonlights flashing at 0%
Yes, that's where it's at now.rimai wrote:If you connect the moonlight module directly to the dimming channel, does it do the same thing?
I've played around and tried it on the dimming expansion, the same thing happens.
I closed my PC before saving the recent code, I'll see if I can re-produce the code I used
