The wifi utility displays 0.0.0.0 as my WIFI add-on address when assigning an SSID and password through the wifi utility. That obviously does not attach to any home wifi. I can reset the firmware to default, but that doesn't help much. The best it will give occasionally is another address (192.168.1.11) that is already assigned to another device, so again there is no success in attaching to the wifi network. No other wifi issues on the network, other devices are connected to my Asus RT-AC66C access point and my router can supply ip addresses at will.
The wifi addon does not respond to Teraterm. The device does not connect using the instructions provided in the WIFI manual.
Is there a way to update firmware without a wifi connection?
wifi address 0.0.0.0
Re: wifi address 0.0.0.0
No blue, just slow green blink in the scenario below.
Wifi Status
Associated: true
Authenticated: true
DHCP: false
IP address and port: 0.0.0.0:2000
...Trying to connect to your router.
My enabled DHCP range is 192.168.1 to 192.168.1.199
I can disconnect and repeat the procedures a few times and occasionally the blue LED stays on but I already know that signal is not desirable either:
In the case when IP address and port show up as 192.168.1.11:2000 I will get a flashing blue LED.

Re: wifi address 0.0.0.0
If it is blinking blue, it is connected to your router already.
Some routers take too long and the wifi utility will report 0.0.0.0
Log into your router and you should see which ip address it assigned to your wifi attachment.
