In the simplest form, it would go off on overheat, or water level ATO timeout.
Be nice if it understood time of day, and did not go off at night.
It could also include comm issues, PH bounds, and more.

with Dave's client software, you can have alerts sent and I'm sure you could make something like a loud or special noise from certain people on your phone or email which could be like an alarm... just a thought.

There is a wifi alert function that can be added to your code and therefore triggered via events. You can then have it email or txt your phone if an alert happens. It's not the same as an audio alarm but if you are like most people and keep your phone handy, you will most likely be able to "hear" the notification/alert.rygh wrote:It would be nice to have a small piezo alarm.

Would it be possible (ie easy) to wire the buzzer and float switch to work on the same ATO port? I am thinking the float switch could be used as a switch for this circuit.
The application I have in mind would be to use the ATO Low configuration. When my reservoir was low, the float swtich triggers, closing the circuit, which would activate the buzzer. When the reservoir is full the float switch would have the circuit open, no buzzer sound.
What do you think?

It would work only if you had your own additional circuitry to the string.
The ATO pin in its input state cannot drive the buzzer.
It could only do that if you change its state to output, which would make it not see the float swith contact.
It would sound the alarm, but RA would never recognize it. So, I think it defeats the purpose.
If you add a transistor that would drive the buzzer, you can do that without a problem.
