For a bracket I cut and bent some abs plastic. For the housings I use PVC acting as snail gaurds.

Can you post a picture of the holder you made? I am DIY challenged. I expect my controller in the mail tommorow and am quite eager to set it up as soon as it arrives!
Thanks, Helen

i found this site http://socaltropicalfishoutlet.com/cata ... -1116.html

it would be cool if RA could bulk buy these and add them to RA store also when i was looking at the store, there were no spares on offer like, Floats, PH Probe, TTL Cable.

if people think theay can get parts they are mor likley to buy the product

Totally agree...I was disappointed the ATO switches came with no holders. One of the reasons I bought RA was for all the options and flexibility it provided. I have everything else up and running, but am hesitant to attempt a DIY ATO switch housing even though it's one of my favorite features.

+1 on this one! Would gladly buy them from here while I pick up some cable extension and maybe a few more items.

Sorry, I didn't see this post. Mine looks very similar to this: http://autotopoff.com/products/DS1/

It had better! I modeled it after it! And you use zip ties to attach everything (just like the autotopoff.com ones). SUPER easy! I think the most difficult part was threading one side to put in a nylon bolt to secure it to the side of the tank. Or you could drill a larger hole and super glue a nylon nut... that would work too and I've used it in the past.

Ive heard of people using something like this

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Ove ... r/16879825

drill the right size hole and thread the nut on.

available at wal-mart for $4-5

A cheaper option is from Autotopoff.com

But you will need to make snail guards and zip tie to the bracket.
