New Monitoring Gadget

Post by lnevo »

While, I wouldn't necessarily call this competition, there's certainly some overlap. Would be great though to see if we could tap into the data though either through an API or some proxy to provide the data to RA.

For those looking for continuous monitoring of cal, alk, mag, o2, co2 in addition to temp, salinity, ph, ammonia and with nitrite and nitrate testing coming soon!!!

Looks very promising

Nice. I can't see the FB page from work; anything on price or availability yet? Imagine being able to run your dosing pumps based off of a real value instead of x mins/seconds per hour!

I wouldn't feel so bad about not testing my CA or Alk if I could do that!!!

The facebook link was wrong anyway...its in the aquanerd article anyway.

Availability was in the next few months. No idea on price. But if its good and accurate then its almost priceless for that kind of ability..

Wow. There is NO way this thing will be cheap. I mean seriously do the math of test kits over 2-5 years of hobby...if this device would last 2-5 years with continuous monitoring. I mean, this company has just developed the "holy grail" of monitoring for reef keepers...thus, they can charge ANY amount for it.

Sorry...just naturally sckeptical. :)
Out for now...but not over.

I'm right there with you. While it sounds great on paper I need to see if working (and long term at that) for me to buy in. But I'll still give them the benefit of the doubt :)

So early 2014 at a price under $600. Apparently 2 years worth of testing and they are currently undergoing final calibrations...

Our Mindstream Monitor contains two radios; one provides the connection to the internet via Wi-Fi, the other to communicate and control local accessory devices. Manufacturers who partner with us, can include a low cost chip that will provide a connection into The Mindstream System.

They have a radio chip they want to communicate with for 3rd party integration...maybe the rf module will work or we'll need a new hardware mod to interface to it. Roberto any luck getting in touch?
