stray voltage

something I think would be beneficial, especially when people are not home would be a sensor for stray voltage than could shut down ports in a sequential order till the stray voltage goes away, as well as alert that person of the incident.

It's sounds like a good idea, but what happens if the stray voltage is your return pump and it shut that port off then a back siphon starts and your sump overflows.

Or your heater or chiller shuts off and the tank gets to the improper temp.

If the sump overflows during a back siphon, the sump needs to be redesigned/replaced with something adequately sized for the intended task.

As for the idea itself, I would assume that if relays could be shut off to identify the stray voltage, they could also be turned back on. If the voltage turns out to be the heater etc., a decision would have to be made as to which item was more detrimental to the inhabitants of the aquarium.

I like the idea. Would you have an expansion to monitor the voltage? On the other hand, isn't a ground probe more practical?
