So I broke my RA LCD display. I had an old nokia phone lying around that had the same type of LCD so I swapped it out. The problem I'm finding is the RA display has the phillips controller and the one I have has the epson controller. I was able to find some test code and modified it to get the display to show data but it's very washed out and the epson contrast command doesn't seem to be having any effect.
Did you guys ever do any work with LCD's that have the epson controller? From the info I found it's pretty much a shot in the dark on which controller you'll get. I'm pretty sure I can modify the library to send the epson commands instead of phillips but if you've already done it then it would save me some time.

Re: RA_NokiaLCD
Can't help you much, but I would just buy a new RA LCD board from the store for $35.
Re: RA_NokiaLCD
No work has been done with epson driver, but the current stock of LCDs are probably the same as you are mentioning.
They are not so bright and the manufacturer has stopped making them.
So, I changed it to a different screen and they should be around in 2 weeks.
