also, are you using your internal or external ip address? do you have port forwarding enabled on your router?

You have to initialize memory. If your running an old enough code, you may have to reload the memory initialization code and then reload your INO. The U-App needs the latest 1.1.0 library

Can you please say how you fixed the connection problem.

I have tried a number of time since the app for the iPAD was released without success when using the external IP address.

It works well using the internal IP address, and the port forwarding has been working for several years with the web portal.

I am running the latest libraries, and ISO 8.1 on the iPAD.

My code contains the following as the last line. I have tried placing the line of code at various places within the listing without any luck.

Code: Select all
{

   ReefAngel.Portal( "Sebyte" );

}

The screen shows "connecting to Reef Angel" or I get a "status.html Timedout" message.

Any and all suggestions are most welcome.

Re my posting above.

Can anyone please advise me on how to get the app to work using my external IP address.

Many thanks

It sounds like the port forwarding is not working. Seeing data in the portal does not indicate that your incoming connect is working.
