Problem with iPhone app

Post by birthdy »

hi
i got some problem with the app in iPhone
everything was running very well until i updated the app.
After i update i can control the tank, in the tab control when i click update the time update to the real time and every thing is ok.
however, the first tab "My Tank" which show the current figure of the tank- water- room-light and Ph
but when i click update the data is not update to the current time and the figure doesn't change. also it said unable to download.
do you anyway to make it work.
i think i did everything right as i can control my tank on the app but the first tab just doesn't work.

thankyou so much

Do you have direct connect turned on or off?

With it turned off (default) it downloads the data from the RA "portal" instead of the controller.

if you don't mind could you PM me the ip / url you are using? I would like to try and see if I can recreate the problem so I can track it down and fix.

Thanks

Got your PM. It looks like you are still running the older libraries so you may want to upgrade to the new ones so you can get the "portal" features. It should still work though, so I will check it out when I get home.

Thanks

Also did you try quitting and restarting the app or restarting your phone?

This is the Portal: http://forum.reefangel.com/portal.php
Basically, you can see parameters, logs and even control your relays from outside your network once it is setup.

Here is some more info:

I could get to your controller just fine using the WAN IP. If you setup a DDNS, you need a client/tool on your computer (or router) that updates the DDNS entry every time your WAN IP address changes. DDNS makes mention of it on their site and tells you how to configure it.

Yes I can do that ebut the problem is with the app.
I can view my data and control Ra from the web.
But after I put in the app I can still update the controller and known which port is on and off and also able to control it.
But the data, temperature ph on the app just won't update for me
That is my problem

What issue are you having? If that data is not showing is direct connect on or off? With it off it will grab the information from the "portal," on it goes direct to controller.

Are you using your ip address or a url to connect to? If you can send me a pm with the info and I can test it on my device.
