There was a promising looking thread on the google group about iphone app control a while back.. any update on something along those lines?

Funny you mention that, Yuppi.

I just started working on an iPhone app this weekend to view ReefAngel sensors and relay values. It also lets you toggle outlets over the internet. I kind of picked up where Trent left off with his version. Awhile ago he had sent me all his files to get up and running, but I took a little different route than he had. Instead of displaying the web banner from reefangel.com, I poll your wifi adapter directly for the values, but more importantly it also let me toggle the relays. I don't think there's a way to handle that through reefangel.com.

I've got a layout, scrolling and temp/pH reading done so far. I need to hook up reading relay box values as well as toggling them. I'll start a new thread in the software section in the next few days outlining everything.

Awesome! That saves me from having to get a Mac now. THANK YOU. :ugeek:

Have you seen this thread by Roberto by chance? Particularly his use of XML to control the RA remotely..

Yes, that's exactly how I've been reading and writing to the controller with my "Client Suite" and also how it works with the iPhone application. I've been wanting an iOS application that works over the internet for awhile now, I got a Mac last weekend specifically to write one. Sounds like I could have waited a little while longer and you would have bit the bullet to put one together instead

Just found this

very cool!! love the interface.. great work!

I know it's super early, but any plans to do:
At least an option to select various dynamic update intervals
Push notifications of critical items (tank overheating, overflowing, power failure, etc)
ON/OFF/AUTO buttons

Wow, you're quick Yuppi.
I just started a dedicated thread in the Apps section, since I guess we're past the request stage now :D

Don't really have any plans yet, just going with the flow. Still taking requests, suggestions and critiques so let em rip in the other thread.
