In your case, I think you need to setup port forwarding.
Did you do that?
If you can access the controller by browsing to http://75.84.228.xxx:2000, the portal can too.

your ip may have changed too.
Internet providers often change ip addresses too.
Port forwarding is something you setup in your router.
Try this:

oh, one more question
is it actually different ip address to access controller
from home and any other place using 3G?
my iphone works 3G good anywhere but not at home which is connected by wifi.
i have to change ip address as router's
no other way not to change ip add?

Yeah, they are different.
But you should be able to use the same ip you use on 3G both at home or outside.
If it does not work, it is a limitation of your router :(

That's what I trying to say.
It should work even with your wifi turned on.
If it does not work it is because your router doesn't allow it. I think it is called loopback calls.
I have a cisco router and it does not allow me to do it :(
Most home routers do allow it though.

What happens?

I was trying 3G ip address into iphone with wifi at home, it did not work.
But my work place, i am also using wifi with 3G ip address, it is working.
So, i think I can use 3G ip address with different wifi like guest wifi.
My router has dual band as guest, i have not try yet, but i think it will work.

thanks roberto.

Sometime in the future, you won't have to manually check your tank on your phone....your phone will do it automatically for you. That simply means that I'm going to be adding an "auto update" feature to the app and widget(s) to display on the home screen.

looking forward to this :)

Roberto,

I've tested setting the host to 0.0.0.0 and it still times out

Are you using the 2.35 firmware?
Have you tried the Tera Term config file I posted a couple posts back?

Heres a summarized list of all the different settings i ve tried to use to fix the wifi module time out issue with no luck:

Dhcp on or off
Host set to 0.0.0.0 or to reefangel.com
Firmware 2.35
Reserving a Static ip for the module on the router

I have discovered that sometimes when i try to connect to the wifi module using its LAN ip address and it times out that i could connect to it using its WAN ip address at the same moment without any problems, while being connected to the same network the module is on. I dont know the reason why this is happening and it doesnt make any sense because if using WAN the communication path from my pc to the router to the internet back to router then to wifi module is good then how come its not good using LAN from pc to router to wifi module?

Hum, that is strange indeed. It doesn't make sense to be able to connect wan and not lan.
Like you said, when you make a wan request, it has to go out to the internet and come back as opposed to lan, which would be a direct connection.
The attachment doesn't have a way to distinguish between lan or wan. So it can't discriminate your lan requests.
Have you tried the sleep/wake command yet?

I just did set the sleep timer to 3600s and the wake timer to 1s, i ll test and see.

I've noticed while checking the module's settings using "get e" command something called "BCAST=255.255.255.255:55555"

what does it represent?

Has anyone tried setting the sleep timer setting? I've owned the WiFi module for 2 weeks and have had it stop responding twice, reboot of module always fixes it.

I ve tried the sleep timer but i have found that the module blinks green fast after a while and it doesnt connect, in my case. I will try to reboot every hour instead and see what it does.

Set the host to o.o.o.o and the blasted thing still disconnects. Reboot and it runs. It did run for 8 days once though. Since I'm traveling a lot I assume it reads my flight schedule somewhere and disconnects just after I board the plane. Pretty smart controller. :-)
