Wifi Error 15: timeout

I am having trouble with my WIFI attachment. I always have the blinking green light for connection. Some times it will work for a few days other just for a hour. I have tried reconfiguring the wifi unit multiple times. It is more annoying than anything. To fix the problem I have been unplugging the wifi attachment and replugging it in and it has been working. Im just tired of this..... I get a Error 15: Timeout on my android phone for the app. and will not connect until I disconnect again. Since I disconnect the wifi and it fixes the problem I think the router is ok. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried upgrading it?

I would upgrade the firmware, then setting the sleep times. Here's one towards the end about setting the linkmon.

I've had good success, not perfect, with firmware 2.36 and setting linkmon up.

FWIW, my wifi usually works pretty well, but this morning it locked up. Almost always step one works. Only had to do step 2 once, and it worked. Maybe a clue as to where the issue is?

1. Unplug, replug the wifi adapter into head unit. Didn't work.
2. Reset the router and wifi modem. Didn't work.
3. Turned wifi mode on my Android phone to log into home network, connected right away. Logged out of home network, and it still worked fine.

Is there a fix for this yet? My phone wakes me up at random times at night and goes off randomly all dya long for this time out error.

Make sure you are using the latest version of the android app and have the error retry set to 2 or more so it won't be notifying you at every little error that occurs.
