Hey guys I'm really stuck between getting a reef angel to control my current DIY LEDs I have or replacing all my drivers and going with an apex. The main thing that bothers me about the reef angle is the whole computer coding I don't know how good I will be at coding and how complicated it looks to use that really pushes me away from this controller. For example I want to be able to set on and off timers with fading and to be able to control all 4 drivers by themselves with different settings where on the apex that's all ready programmed I just need to set it. Can anyone one help me With this fear of the angle befor I make the change?

Personally to me, Im afraid of the Apex language. I was a little daunted originally since I hadn't coded much and it had been a long time since I had used C / C++.

I will say that for the automation of your light schedule shouldn't be all that hard and you've got a great set of resources on this forum.

If you can think logically (AND and OR) and can open and close a parenthesis then you should be ok.

The wizard will get you started and give you a base to work with and get you between 90-100% of the way there depending on how much you want to customize.

What drivers do you have, and what sort of customization are you looking to do?

Try the Reef Angel Wizard and see for yourself :)
No coding required...
Download the Reef Angel Installer from the website and install it in your computer.
Then open Arduino and go to menu Tools->Reef Angel Wizard
Let us know which one you end up going :)

Pretty easy to do. You'll use the PWMSlope function and set that start/end time and minx.max percentage fir each driver and how long it will take to ramp up/down

Ok I see what you mean so I would need to get the dimming module as well with the controller?

Yes if you want to control more than just two channels. I also recommend the plus model for the extra ram. Especially if you want to do sunrise/sunset calculation or weather stuff or just in general :)

Everything is in stock. 3 days is usually how long it takes to get delivered.
