pwm or analog

how do you tell the difference between the units? looking at leds but don't know if i have pwm or analog

Look at the bottom of the relay box.
If there is a sticker "Analog Dimming", it's analog. If none, it's PWM.

Hey Ryan. I think I sold you a pump about a year ago. If you need LED help with the RA this is the place to come. Don't worry about RC lol. Let us know which box you have and any specs: tank size, what you're growing...etc

my first issue is I bought my reefangel used I contacted the original owner today and he said he thought it was analog because he said he didn't think the other one was out yet, he purchased it in Feb 2011, I looked for a sticker but couldn't find one

It's PWM then.
Are your drivers analog signal?

Search this forum. You can do analog yourself by what is on here. OR roberto will happily upgrade it for you! You have options!!

I haven't bought leds yet I just know I don't want to build them myself, I was looking at apollo but they are analog I am just trying to figure out what i should be shopping for

Can you send me a photo of the relay box??
From outside and inside if you can.
I would be able to determine the best approach and if it would be easy to convert that box.

alright so will the reefangel do any Chinese type leds or what should I be looking for when buying leds, should the description say controllable?

Is must say it is dimmable by either PWM or 0-10 analog signal.
