Under the list of DC pump settings is a custom setting. What is this for, can you make a custom code to load in that space?

Yeah it's a hook so you can define your own mode. Whether it would be a time based sync or a custom function, it will let you write whatever you want and choose it from the portal or go back to another mode later.
