Ways to use a salinity probe.

I'm getting a salinity probe and am going to use it as a fail safe to my ATO in a way.
IE: If the salinity is below 1.025 (35 ppt) do not turn on the ATO.

I wanted to see what other creative ways other's are using it.

I know someone is using it for water change and determine which reservoir to ato from based on the salinity. If salinity drops he switches ato to a sw reservoir and vice versa..
