I/O module

I'm thinking about getting the I/O module, but I'm having a hard time justifying the purchase since I only need one more float switch hooked up. What are other people using their I/O module for?

I use 4 ports for buttons to trigger feeding mode, water chage mode, "button press" to exit a mode, and to trigger my auto-feeder. I use one port to power a 5v relay that actually triggers the feeder when you press the above button or via code. The plan for the last port is a float for my skimmer collection cup.
