Does tube size matter on the water level sensor? Do you get better resolution with a larger diameter tube? I'm hooking up my water level sensor to my 5 gallon top off vat and I have some 1/4" bulkheads and 1/4" clear rigid tube that I can use and keep the install nice and clean. My only worry is that I won't get accurate results with a tube that small in diameter.

Yeah, I think the resolution will be much lower, but I think it's worth a try.
Let us know how good it performs

I tried it and I was able to calibrate and get a seemingly accurate reading. I'll run with it for a week while I wait for some 1/2" bulkheads to show up. I'll post back later with results.

The 1/4" OD tube did not work out all that well. After some mechanical difficulties I was able to get the tube in the container and get it calibrated but the value fluctuates by as much as 20% while the actual level in the vat remains the same.
I'll end up switching to a 1/2" or 3/4" pipe when I get a chance.
