salinity calibration help

Post by Smotz »

Hey all,

I am having some more problems with salinity calibration.

I know my water is ~35 PPM probably a bit higher.

When I do the salinity calibration menu item it works for a while but drops down over time - to like 23 PPG.
Also when I do the calibration the number it stabilizes at is like 347 - that seems low to me..?
I know when I first started that number was like 1800+

thoughts?

does it stay at 23 and remain there; or does it hop back up to ~35 and then start down again, over and over again. That is what mine does and has since day one. I'll be watching to see if anyone has come up with anything new.

347 seems low.
Does it show the same readings in a cup of tank water?

Yes same thing. Actually the number it stabilizes at is 526.

No, it stays there. I have to re-calibrate at that point.

If it is still reading that low in a cup with tank water, you will need to send it back.
There is something not right.
PM for RMA.
