Water level expansion

Post by ecam »

Guys I'm planning on adding the water expansion to my display tank. I'm concerned how it might look ( trying to add some security. Since I plan on using a gate valve on one of my drains). In my display tank. Can you guys post some pics of your water level expansion setup inthe dt.

Thanks.

Do you have a sump?
I believe most people (including myself) place it in the sump.

If not I would put it in a corner of the tank or next to an overflow, somewhere that it may be hidden a little bit or even behind your rock work.

Maybe you can describe your tank or post some pictures.

You could paint the pipe.. or you could also start with a sch80 pipe that may look better than bright white. Or maybe add some waterfall foam and texture it a bit to look like it belongs. It would get covered in coraline eventually.

That is funny. That is exactly what I do with mine, too! I much prefer the gravity fed ATO myself. I picked up the multi-port WLE and was thinking of using the other ports to monitor my 2-parts vats :)
