wifi stops working every once in a while
I have trouble viewing my tank info (portal or on my android) every so often. The wifi blinks green fine, but I get timeout errors on my android telling me it can't connect. I have to reconnect it in order for it to work.
This all started when I resetted my router. It wouldn't connect until I used the wifi setup utility. Even then, it took a few tries for it to work since it kept saying I needed to reconnect the usb/ttl cable because it couldn't find it after it tried to set it up after clicking "Setup Wifi Attachment".
Did I do something wrong? Do I need to upgrade the firmware? Are there instructions?
Any help would be great. I'm going on vacation in a few months and it would be great to have this working in a stable manner.

Re: wifi stops working every once in a while
What happens when you try accessing it straight into the local ip address?

Re: wifi stops working every once in a while
Are you saying to access the local ip when it's not connecting/working?
I wanted to also say, that when i tried to connect to it with the terraterm @ 9600 baud, all I got was garble and ascii chars.

Yup! I did. I tried "$$$" then tried the next step in comnmands to stop getting those broadcast messages, but it still kept coming.
maybe i didn't type it in correctly. I will try again when I can to see if I messed up.

Re: wifi stops working every once in a while
i just went through the manual setup in the docs, and reconnected it. so far it responds just fine.
will update if it disconnects again.
if you're wondering, here is what the last info bit said:
CMD
get i
IF=UP
DHCP=ON
IP=192.168.1.132:2000
NM=255.255.255.0
GW=192.168.1.1
HOST=198.171.134.6:80
PROTO=TCP,
MTU=1524
FLAGS=0x6
TCPMODE=0x0
BACKUP=0.0.0.0
<2.32> GET /r99 HTTP/1.1
will update if it disconnects again.

Re: wifi stops working every once in a while
Yes, you are using a quite outdated firmware...
2.32 is very old.
The log shows IF=UP, which means it is connected to your router.
Try using these commands to update:
The ftp u takes a few seconds to finish, so don't rush to type save.
Then after it reboots, connect again and use this:
To make sure you are on the latest firmware, you can connect and use "get i" command, like you did above and it should show <4.00> at the end, which is the firmware version.

The log shows IF=UP, which means it is connected to your router.
Try using these commands to update:
Code: Select all
set f a 198.175.253.161
ftp u
save
reboot
Then after it reboots, connect again and use this:
Code: Select all
set w j 1
save
reboot

thanks robert, i got it updated.
however, even before this update, i'm getting a lot of:
"Error 23: XML SAX Parser"
it does connect every once in a while, but I still get this error.
