joystick bad?

my ra+joy stick is stuck not mechanical but electrically stuck. up and down works fine but it keeps scrolling to ether to the left or the right i cant tell which i tried a power cycle and even opening up the head unit and cleaning the contacts whit 99% rubbing alcohol then a good contact cleaner let dry over night and still getting the same thing but its a little better but still gets stuck. sadly it looks like the joystick is soldered in so i guess i need a new head unit? is this some thing that is covered under warranty? i have only had the ra for about 2 months and only use the joystick to go in to feed mode and wc mode
