New RA owner; RA Wizard code will not load

Hi everyone, brand new RA owner here.

I'm having a problem getting my RA Wizard code loaded onto my RA. When I finish the wizard and do generate/upload I see the following error:

Rebooting Reef Angel Controller
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding

This is on a Mac, OSX 10.8.3

Using board: Reef Angel with Optiboot
Port: /tty.usbserial-Axxxxxx

I've verified the computer can see the controller and it can.
FT232R USB UART:

Product ID: 0x6001
Vendor ID: 0x0403 (Future Technology Devices International Limited)

I have the cable into the RA with the black wire on the furthest right side, leaving the 2 pins next to the serial port open.

I've tried reinstalling the FTDIUSBSerial drivers/package and rebooted. Still no luck.

The controller itself does reboot, screen goes off, RED LED blinks, but when then I get the error above.


Any suggestions?

How did you resolve it? I've tried rebooting, disabling/enabling com port, uninstalling reinstalling drivers and I am still getting the error.
