Roberto,

any chances of getting them in near future?

There are no plans for such module.
Would you still be interested if you knew the probe alone costs more than $200?

Probe itself is for 160. considering this as a one time investment & the cost of expensive livestock we keep its seems ok for me. :D

Does that probe report in the same mV range as the salinity, ORP, or pH probes? In other words, if someone really wanted to make the investment in the probe, could they use one of the other modules to report DO levels?

just curious.....

The Atlas scientific sensor board (ie kit) has a serial port... Not very expensive or difficult to add some hardware to interface it as an expansion from the Reef Angel, or if not in use already; use the serial port directly...

Something similar, but with much lower voltage ranges.
It's in the micro volts instead of mili volts.
Here is a good article:

So you mean that if i want i can do with atlas scientific kit only & some how connect it with my reef angel controller. if that is the case what we addition i have to do in the libraries & code

It should be possible to connect the kit from Atlas to the RA. I've done similar things with DIY modules through the Arduino. You could update the libraries or just add some custom code to the Atlas (arduino) board and the RA to communicate over I2C. I just thought it might be easier to fool the ORP, salinity, or pH meter modules into reporting DO.

I hadn't thought about DO readings, but it seems this RA has made me a bit of a data junkie on my tank and I'm always interested in monitoring other aspects of the aquarium. :geek:

Or hope mindstream monitor releases soon and spend an extra 400$ and get live monitoring of DO and everything else??

Not sure I understand what you are saying. Would this Atlas probe for example work in the range of one of the other modules, or use the RA board pH BNC? Not that I really want to spend $200, but if I come across a cheap probe, it might be worth a try. I got a cheap Ca probe on ebay, but since it isn't designed to stay submerged, it was kind of pointless.

Thanks,
Jon

It would read, but the scale would be too low to be any useful.
The module would have to be modded to change the gain by 1000 times.

ahh. I guess that is what the BNC board in the kit must do. I suppose I could hook it up to an arduino board and send the reading through I2C like another module. Assuming I had time, extra money, and three other projects that get completed... ;) :geek:
