Hello All,
I've been struggling with my salinity probe for that last few weeks. I calibrated using my tank water that is always at 35.0 as per two refractometers that I have. The problem is that when I calibrate it will hold for a week or so and then start to drift. (right now it is showing 31.6) My refractometer hasn't moved from 35.0 (i tested several water sources and the refractometer is accurate). I am about to setup top off based on salinity reading but cant really trust the probe. Can someone please advise on the best way to fix this problem.
Thanks
Salinity Probe

Re: Salinity Probe
Have you checked for stray electricity in your tank? It could also be micobubbles getting caught at the bottom of the probe, if you give it a shake does the the values change?

Re: Salinity Probe
If you put the probe in a cup of tank water what does it read?

Re: Salinity Probe
The reading stays the same... but the refractometer confirms my 35.00
No stray voltage from what i can tell

Re: Salinity Probe
Sounds like a bad probe...i know there were a few cases like this. Not sure what happened to address. I think Sacohen had the same issue.
