Hi my sal module just just stopped working stuck on 6 reading, i have worked out the data cable & power cable are fine, so it must be the module or the probe itself can any one tell me how i can check to see if the probe it dead with a multi meter ?

Use a paper clip to short out the BNC connector in the module itself. That way you can know if the module is working.
Do you get readings?

OK shorted the bnc and i get 66, when open i get 6 ?, can anyone tell me if this is a normal reading from a working module ?

The module seems to be working if it shows numbers other than 6.0, which leads us to the probe.
Did you try cleaning it?
