The Gyre has fantastic reviews but having a static wave pattern (unless manually changed) is a turn off for me.
I use the RA along with 2 x Jebao's to change the wave pattern to match tidal changes. Including a 3 hour nutirent transport after feeding.
Am I being too picky? Does it not matter...really?
Anyone else change wave patterns throughout the day?

I use Else during the day and a gyre pattern at night. It probably doesn't matter, but I like it.

Same here. I change the flow rate a few times a day to try to mimic tidal patterns then gyre at night.
Been considering the Maxspect Gyre but I think I would miss the control.

I just change the pattern each day and have run Smart_NTM after feeding

That's what I do.lnevo wrote:I just change the pattern each day and have run Smart_NTM after feeding
Lnevo helped me with some code that changes the mode everyday or after reboot, puts it in NTM mode after feeding and a 30% constant mode at night.
