question on error messages

Post by ewaldsreef »

I am using the Reef Angel Android app. I frequently get a time out error message for connection.
My question is how do I remove this error message? It would be obviously be important to know if my connection isnt working at all but not throughout the day when there is a hiccup. I want to get everything fine tuned so when I do get a notification its something I really need to address.

you can set the error retry count to be like 2 and have it wait 5-10 seconds before it retries. this way if it encounters an error, it will retry the connection after the specified time. it will retry for the given number of times and if it fails after all the retries, then it will actually notify you.

Thank you. I had it on 0. That makes sense.

this is the exact reason why this feature was added. every now and then you can have an error and as soon as you retry to communicate, it goes through just fine. you may want to experiment to see what setting works best for you.
if it is still having problems, post back again and let me know. there might be something else we can try.
