I use cheap float switchs in case of failure for both Auto Water Change and RobertoFlow system.
The problem is that, from time to time, the floats tends to fail itself... well you may see the irony here.. the anti-failure system tends to fail.
Any suggestions on a more reliable float switch? Is there any kind of 'fail-proof" float switch we might consider? Apex has an "optical" float switch, but I dont know if we can adapt it (and dont know how much more reliable it really is).

I don't use float switches so I cannot answer.

I have been using the same float switch on my RobertoFlow for 5 years, but it is used as emergency, so it rarely trips.
