Setting up a new reef angel

Post by paxton106 »

Good morning to all, trying to set up my reef angel on a MAC and for some reason when setting up the wifi portion I am getting a flashing green light, and not truly connecting to the wifi. Any suggestions?

No it is flashing green, but I am getting a dchp error message and I am not able to get an I.P. address. Is there a way to test the wifi?

The DHCP says False, but the rest seems to say it has a good connection, with the exception of the I.P. address

What security mode and encrytion are you using?
Use WPA2-PSK with AES encryption.
If you have mixed mode or mixed encryption, it could it.

No, doesn't make a difference.
You need to login into your router to see your wifi settings.

Have a look at the user guide for your router, if you don't have one Google the make and model and you should find a copy.

Look for the router IP address, mine is http://192.168.2.1/ and this is often used as a common address.

To access the router via a web browser by entering the IP address in the address bar.

i.e. http://192.168.2.1/ or what ever yours is.

That should then bring up the router home page and from there you can access all the features.
