I think it was only enabled to pull the labels from the webbanner, the new version I am prepping will allow you to pull the actual data from the portal and will prompt for you to enter the ip address when you go to the controls. This should work how Cruzer need's it.

Is there any way to have the ability to control the LED dimming function from the iPhone? Would like to be able to adjust the PWM slope from the iPhone or client instead of having to go into the code every time. Roberto guided me to a work around which will be able to allow me to adjust the intensity levels from the memory tabs, but that doesn't allow for a permanent slope adjustment. Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks

To be able to permanetly modify without changing the code you would need to configure your .ino to use the memory locations for the PWM instead of using the manually entered values.

Like wolfador said, if you are using the Internal Memory locations for the PWMSlope function inside your INO (the default when creating a PDE/INO inside RAGen now), you would be able to modify the values. When wolfador adds in the memory locations to the iPhone app, it will match the memory locations that the Android app can do. :)

Better support for the 0.9 libraries.
Ability to get a graph kind of like the portal.
"Read-only" mode by gathering data only from the Portal
More memory features like custom locations and dosing pumps.

Probably more stuff I added weeks ago and forgot about. :D

Just need to finish some UI stuff on the iPad app and will submit that one too.

Update should be available shorty. Just got the notice it was approved. Sometimes takes a few hours to appear in all the app stores. Let me know if there are any issues.

Your welcome, Roberto helped me find some bugs, so I am going to submit a bugfix update tonight when I finish testing.

Direct connect will display everything directly from the controller, otherwise it pulls from the portal.

There was a bug in the salinity module, readings were showing as 355 instead of 35.5. The expansion relay box was not working and there was an issue when you had direct connect off and tried to use the controls sometimes it would crash.

There were a few requests for a "read-only" mode, if you just enter your RA id and leave Direct connect off you can only see the stats and not make any changes to the relays / memory.

Help please

I have been using the iPhone app for awhile now and have had problem, I am running the latest version.
My problem is I have just added the expansion relay. I can see the relays on the app, but they are all off, when I turn one on it goes back to off straight away and isn't reading them correctly as most of them are on. If I turn one on it does actually turn the relay on but shows it as off. The reef angel client is working properly on the expansion relay, so have not done something with the app.

Any ideas

Thanks

Which version of the libraries are you using? Also you can try to uninstall and redownload the latest version to make sure as it was not working in the previous version.

You will probably want to update your libraries, the newest ones came out on 3/25. You can use the update utility at: http://reefangel.com/Download.ashx

To check your version number you can go to http://youripaddress:2000/v

Any chance that those of us connected USB to comp to wireless connection to our home network canget this to work or is the wifi module the only way to use the iOS app?

Thanks.

currently you need the wifi adapter as that contains the "web server" part of the RA. I know there was a project to get a web server you could run on your pc but I am not sure how far they got with that.

Ah. Thanks wolf. That may explain the problem of not being able to see data I posted on another thread.

Hi John,

I recently upgraded to an RA+ with v9 software and an expansion relay set. Works great on the iphone app, but the ipad app doesn't report the expansion relay and I get an msg to upgrade to v8.5.1.9 to use Modes. Not sure if those are related are not, but either way I thought I'd let you know.

The iPad is a few releases out of date, working on an update to both of them.

Any update on the iPad version? I still get this v8.5.1.9 message...
