moonlight module questions

I'm trying to decide between building a moonlight function into my (under construction) DIY LED fixture or simply adding RA's module(s). Am I correct in thinking that I may need more than )1 module for a 90 gal (48x18) tank and that I'd need a PWM channel for each one? How many modules would I need for this tank size?

Correct.
I'd say at least 3 moonlights and 4 or 5 would be optimal.

Thanks Roberto. 3-4 modules plus an additional pwm module to run them is probably not my best option. I may end up just putting a few LEDs on a seperate driver and running it off a single PWM channel.

Is it possible to run more than one moonlight off of a single PWM port? I just picked up two moonlights because I only have the two ports available but I thought I just read a post here somewhere that said you can run more than one light per port.

no. just one moonlight per channel.
you can run multiple led drivers, but not the dimmable moonlights.

How about on a 36 inch tank, would I be ok with 2?

I have 2 in my 36" tank and it is fine to me.
I do have some darker spots, but it's ok to me.
