Hi,

I have a couple of questions about this pump.

1. It says it has a 12v DC motor. Does that mean to use it I would need to provid a 12v supply or is that included.
2. Could this sort of pump suck water out of a bucket and through few feet of tubing. I am currently using an aqualifter and it barely has enough power to cause a slow drip/trickle and sometimes it can't keep up.

Thanks,

Don

Yes, it comes with the power supply and yes it is a peristaltic pump, which can push water through several feet of head.

How many feet of lift will it do?

I haven't tested it yet, but it is a peristaltic pump and should push several feet

Can these be powered by the new 12V power distribution expansion (i.e., what amperage do they draw)?

Yes, you should be fine with one at a single time.
The pump will draw about 450mA operating current and even though each channel can handle that, the total heat dissipation of the chip is not that high and the chip will heat up if you start drawing too much current.

So don't use the peristaltic ATO pumps as continuous water change pumps attached to the 12C power hub, gotcha.
