Client not showing data

So I have owned this controller for quiet some time and never been able to get this function to work. On the bottom it shows
"Listener: Running / Connected | Logger: Running | DB Version 2.2 | Dev Lib Version: x.x.x.xx |"
However no information is being sent to it...
So lost on what to do

it is just the stock code that came with it, i never bothered to figure any of that out since it had all the functions i required.

Do you have an RA or RA+?

It won't do it on the preloaded code.
You must enable the wifi framework to be able to communicate with the Client and the standard RA doesn't have wifi enabled on the preloaded code due to memory size constraints.

Use the Wizard to create your own code and make sure to enable wifi.
Open Arduino and go to menu Tools->Reef Angel Wizard

Alright that was pretty simple to go through and figure out. However when I try to generate and upload it says an error has occurred please try again
