Are you able to load any code the controller?
It looks like you got the wrong com port.

Ra status only works with wifi. It doesn't work with serial.
Did you try using the portal?

Did you load the sample code to initialize all the memory variables. I forget the name of the sketch, but if you missed this step, you could have problems.
