How does it work if I need 4 pumps? Which controller would work or does it work at all?

Dosing pumps? The portal only supports 2 pumps, but there is no reason you couldn't support as many pumps as you have outlets...
Each can have an independant schedule or you could control all through one memory location. It all depends on how you code it.
