I've never used a pH probe before so this may be a stupid question.
Does the pH Probe come calibrated or do I need to do a calibration to it before using it on my RA+?
I don't have any calibration fluid right now and would have to get some, but I want to know if the fluid is just for re-calibration if I feel something changed or if it needs to be calibrated to begin with.
pH Probe?
Re: pH Probe?
It's actually the device reading the probe that gets calibrated to each probe.
Every piece of pH-related gear I've ever bought needed to be calibrated upon arrival, so I would plan on doing it with this too.

Re: pH Probe?
folks do it both ways. Just install it and see what happens; others of us get the fluid and calibrate. Go ahead and use it until you get fluid, but don't make radical, chemical changes to your tank until you've had a chance to gauge accuracy.
