Weird Wifi Setup Issues

I have previously been able to connect my wifi module to our network but ran into some of the same issues with the wifi dropping out that affected others. I have no updated the firmware to version 4 and have gone through the setup process again. Now I get a fast flashing green and flashing blue at the same time.

However, my network show the device connected, the terminal dump shows an IP address assigned and connected to the network, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Here is the terminal dump:

Code: Select all

Any thoughts as to where I am going wrong?

IF=DOWN means the connection is down.
I'd highly recommend using WPA2-PSK with AES encryption. I've heard some people having issues on WPA1 and my speculation is that it will only accept WPA1-PSK with TKIP encryption. I can't confirm though.
WPA2 is more secure anyway, so you should think about bumping up.
Both SSID and passphrase are case sensitive.
But most importantly, there is a big step buried in the manual that needs to be accomplished or you won't connect.

Awesome, thanks!

I generally use WPA2-PSK but was having a hard time connecting and thought that might be it. Forgot to change it back.

Apparently this is not in the manual that I'm reading on the downloads page. Where is this new manual located?

not really the solution to this issue, but do yourself a favour and reserve an address for your wifi unit in your modem/router.

From a networking point of view, it is less troublesome......
