Hey,

Just want to check something - I have installed my float switches in the tank... Shouldnt the bottom float switch be "floating"?

Image

Also, do i plug the switches into the ports located to the left of the PH input? does it matter which one i plug where?

Looks like its stuck...if its under water it should float in that orientation. The left port is the low and the right is high i believe.

Thanks bro,

I can't remember if I checked to see if it was stuck or not.

Will do when I get home anyway

You can't use magnetic holders.
There is a magnet inside of the float switch and the holder's magnet is too strong it will cause the float to be stuck by attraction or repulsion.

Oh damn

How else are guys mounting their switches?

The magnets in that probe holder are pretty strong :(

Maybe I can rig up something with eggcrate.....

Small tupperware container with a couple of small holes in it. Stops the switches tripping when there's a bit of sloshing in the sump.

That be a good plan - I'm gonna look into this. The only issue is that I live in S.A and not everyone will ship here :(

Thanks bubbles, I'm struggling to visualize it. Do you maybe have a pic?
