I'm using the wifi utility and I cant get the attachment to work, it does everything like is working but it say ip 0.0.0.0:2000 and its not connecting.
Why is it not picking up an IP?

I was gonna try to manually setup up with the arduino app and I notice the predifned code shows only wep-128, I use wep-64 on a verizon router. Is this the issue? I really dont want to change to 128 and have to update all my devices. Also I am not broadcasting my SSID but I dont think thats the issue, I haven't not had issue with other wifi devices.

No WEP64 support. It's too weak of security.
I highly recommend using WPA2-PSK with AES encryption.
WEP64 is so weak that any wannabe hacker can break it in a minute with simple apps you can download from the internet.
