Help please power randomly cutting out

Hey guys. I'm new to the hobby and jus set up my controller. But every 15-20 min the power cuts for a second and everything shuts off. Is this normal? I have 2 expansion relays so could it possibly be not enough power so it restarts? It's kinda annoying hearing everything knock all day. If any can help me out that would be great my first post was kinda a flop :/

Is it just the RA that is losing power or everything on the Tank?

Are there things plugged directly into a wall outlet )not plugged into the RA) that are losing power too?

Everything for my tank is plugged into my RA, so I have 2 relays plugged into 1 wall outlet. I doubt it's overloaded because it was previously all plugged into that outlet using various powerbars. It's jus the reef angel that's flickering so I don't know what the problem is.

Can you disconnect the wifi and let us know if the problem still persists?

Hi Roberto. My wifi is currently disconnected as its not working either. I figure I should fight one battle at a time. It still cuts out with or without the wifi.

Try moving the cables away from ballasts or drivers.
Do you have wavemakers running on cycle??

I've disconnected and reconnected everything and it still is cutting out. My wavemaker is set for every 30 mins and it's cuts out every 5-10 min

Hey I figured out that it only does it when the wifi module is not plugged in. And no it's jus the port on the expansion relay. Is it possible there is a connection?

So, if wifi attachment is connected, you have no problems?

No sorry. If the wifi is connected it does it But as soon as I unplug the module it stops. Could it be related to the fact that my wifi doesn't work? I have a changing IP address so I can't keep it connected for long. Btw How many watts can a single relay take before problems start?

Weird.
The relay can handle over 5A resistive, but you should keep it under that.

So what should I do? I'm pretty sure it's not overloaded and it's gonna kill anything plugged into that relay from the constant on/off?

Does it happen to all ports, including ports on the main box?

No it's just the expansion relay and it only happens when the wifi module is plugged into the head unit. I set up a camera to see if it's the ports that turn off but it switches off and on again the head unit just shows all the ports are on. Is it possible I have a bad relay?

I doubt it is a relay if it works without the wifi attachment.
Maybe we ought to RMA this wifi attachment.
