I was trying to check on my DT thru the portal earlier this week but kept getting unreachable address. I have my controller connected to the computer with the usb cable. usually works fine when computer is in use but my computer goes into sleep mode when not in use and doesn't send signal to portal.

Is their a way that I can fix this so I can check on portal when I am not at my computer?

A couple of possible ways.

1) Use a WiFi connection to send information to the Portal.

2) If there is a laptop sometimes there are certain USB ports that don't go to sleep with the computer.

3) Don't let you computer go to sleep. (turn the screen saver on, or just let the monitor shut off after a certain amount of time, but the computer stays awake.

These setting would be in you power management or display settings.
