pH probe spikes

I set high and low parameters on my pH probe through the android app and it catches very high and very low deviations every now and then, down to 6.2 and as high as 9.4. These are only brief occurrences and have been happening since I added the alarms through the app, they are just getting more and more frequent. Is my probe going bad?

Yes, in my experience probes are unpredictable in general.
If you can afford the lab grade pH probes its better. It cost more but quality is better.
I have use the black color probes they seems to last longer.
Tip: You should also keep a spare pH probe always handy.
Try other brands until your comfortable with it.
If your getting problems with erratic reading just change the probe.
