Hello

I'm still deciding on which controller to buy; RA or Apex

Can an rj45 port be added to the RA board?

Long shot, anyway to add DMX controll

Thank you

I doubt there is anything you can want your Apex to do that the RA can't already do

DMX is used for controlling dimmers for lighting fx. RGB being my point of interest. If you have pumps controlled by VFD you can use DMX to interface with VFDs and onther PLCs for added controls.

I think I will just purchase the RA, I don't think I will have as much fun using the Apex.

Thx

There is a 6 channel PWM expansion module that you can use to control RGB.

In my experience with RGB, they are really good for accents, but not for really full use.
So, whatever Ecotech did on their Radion was actually the best approach.
You really want 5 channels, one for White, one for Royal Blue, one for Red, one for Blue, one for Green.
This way you get the best of both worlds. It's more complex, but I think the best approach nonetheless.

good morning,

sweet. Yes RGB for accents is excatly what i want to use them for.

is the RA capable of 0 to 20 mA input (e.g. from Hanna instruments)

This sound like a really nice controller with lots of possibalities.

Thank you

It outputs 0-10VDC PWM signals (standard) or 0-5VDC PWM signals (modified).

the reason I was asking about the mA input was for the ability to add additional meters, e.g. pH, ORP, etc.

cool, I'll build a PWM dimmer for some RGB modules I have and post results.

How many amps is the PWM you offer?

Thanks

40mA max each channel
