Wif module not working over cellular data

Guys please help me out here...
Why can't I retrieve data from my controller when using cellular data network on my phone?
Through android app and web browser on my phone I can't connect to my away host when connected to cellular data. When I connect to Wifi or Ethernet on my internal network at home it works, and when I connect to Wifi or Ethernet network at my work it works. I can only retrieve data when I'm connected to a Wifi network from my cell phone (Internal or External Wifi Networks).
Portal works from Wifi and Cellular Data network. My Port forwarding is setup correctly. Check my Web Banner for last update.
This is what I done so far to look what the problem could be.
1.) Hard reset the wifi module and setup it again with no luck retrieving data on cellular data network.
2.) Used both DNS accounts for my host (No-ip and DynDns) Both off them are closed when trying to open port 2000 from cellular data network, But if I connect to wifi network port 2000 are open and retrieving data.
3.) Used my friends wifi module with the same settings with no luck retrieving data on cellular data network.
4.) Changed to my old router which the Wifi Module worked before on cellular data with no luck this time, so I changed back to my newest router.
What do you guys think the problem could be

Honestly it sounds like port forwarding issues.
The banner being updated is not an indicator because that gets updated via the controller sending data to the portal every 5 minutes not by the portal querying your device through the port forward.
Whats odd is you say it works on an external wifi? Meaning if you go to starbucks and get on their wifi it works???

In my opinion, it is your cell phone provider that is blocking your access to port 2000.

Yeah it means when I go on any other wifi network no matter where I'm in the world I can retrieve data from a wifi network. It cant be that my cellular network provider blocks my port 2000, it worked previously on my old router and I tried on four different cellular network providers here in South Africa which include the following: vodacom, mtn, cell c and telkom, Tried the old router again but no sigar... Sit with the same problem.

Is it possilbe that your ISP is blocking port 2000? Are your friend's on the same ISP network?
They may allow port 2000 to work internally between different networks, but may block it from the internet...
Like I said, can you go to Starbucks or some similar public wifi and reach it?

if it's the fjleroux url through noip, then I can confirm that I can communicate with it from my place. I just did 1 minute ago and my Android app updated values from it.

Did you do the test through wifi or cellular data network? If you can connect through cellular network and get data from the fjleroux host at no-ip then I think it could be me ISP

That's what I want to find out, my ISP allows port 2000 to be open through wifi or ethernet connection, but if I connect to my cellular network provider on my phone and want to retrieve data then port 2000 is closed and on the android app I get BAD URL. It's like there's a block between my cellular network provider and my ISP when I want to access my fjleroux url on port 2000.

i just tested connecting to your controller from my cell phone using my mobile/cellular carrier and i was able to connect to your device perfectly fine. so it could be what lee stated and your cellular provider/carrier blocks the data on that port.
if it blocks data on port 2000, then you will want to change your port that you use. i would suggest changing the port to 80 (which is the default port for web pages and should definitely be unblocked) or port 8080 which is the alternate web standard port. then setup your router to take data requests on port 80 (or 8080) and forward them to port 2000 of the RA wifi adapter. that's actually what i do/did at home when i was running 2 ra's on the same network and wanted public access to both of them.

Francois - who is your SP and what APN is your phone setup to work with? I'm with MTN and using internet as APN gives me issues. Changing it to mymtn made a difference, although it shouldn't according to them.

Thanx for coming back to me, ok the way I understand this is please clarify me if I'm wrong
I have to change the port of the wifi module to 80 or 8080 (How would I do this) on tera term?
Then I have to setup port forwarding with the assigned port number of the wifi module.
How would I forward port 80 or 8080 to port 2000?

Hi Albe
My ISP is Afrihost at home where the wif modle gets its data from, I changed to them two months ago. Before them I was with Telkom and never had this issue. My cellular network is Vodacom.

You don't need to change 2000 in the wifi attachment.
You can redirect traffic from one port to another.
So, any incoming traffic on port 80 of your router would be routed to port 2000 of your wifi attachment.
When you setup the port forwarding on your router, it usually asks from which port you want to forward and you pick 80 and to which port you want to forward it to and you choose 2000.

Wow! It's working on my cellular network provider now as well they do block port 2000. What an easy fix. Thanx for helping me out guys
