Expansion Hub

I"m having some trouble with my expansion hub. When I plug my salinity expansion into the hub the values jump all over the place. However, when I plug the salinity expansion directly into the relay box it stays stable. Any ideas?

A bit more info: this is used equipment said to have come off a working system. I have two expansion hubs, and both cause the same problem. I've tried two different salinity expansions, and a water level expansion, and it's the same story with all of them, they work fine plugged directly into the relay box, but not through the expansion hub. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not other things are plugged into the hub.

Also, I the hubs seem to make my lights go crazy, It could be coincidental, but they started to randomly go on and off after I plugged my dimming expansion into the hub.

That sounds like bus locks.

I tried using a few different cables, but it still jumps around. Right now it will stabilize for a second or so, then flicker back and forth from the stable value to a different value.

Does this mean the expansion hubs are bad?

It seems that way.

What if I never get a bus lock error? Could it be correlated to my occasional random low ph spikes?

Is there a way to test the hub, or do I have to just buy a new one?
