do you have a standard ra or ra plus?
if you don't know, then you can try the opposite one you selected in the wizard.
also, make sure the cable is connected to your controller before you try to upload. i know these are basic suggestions but can be overlooked.

Binder, thank you for your reply and suggestions. I have already tried both troubleshooting steps but it still will not upload. Please share any other suggestions and thanks again.

Have you been able to upload any code in the past?

Yes, but you still need to find out if it is a standard RA or a RA+.
This is the first step.
Ask the person you bought it from or open the head unit to check the board revision.

I bought it from a LFS and I have no idea who he ordered it from. I am going to open it it right now. What should I look for? By the way, thanks for helping me.

It says Reef Angel Main Unit 6.1 and there are three jumpers on the board to the right of the knob. A black jumper to the far left and the other two are white jumpers.

That's a standard RA and you will have a bit of a trouble fitting most codes without stripping it down to the bare minimum.
Make sure the serial port is correct and choose "Reef Angel w/ optiboot" as the option on Boards menu.

I tried a usb port that I didn't think of using before and I was able to upload the code that I made from the wizard. I got error messages, probably due to the fact that it had to strip down the code to get it to fit, but everything is working perfectly now. How much would it cost to upgrade to a RA+ board? Thanks again for your help.

All you need is the RA+ board upgrade in the webstore

It's pretty simple to swap.
