firmware?

how do i know if i am running the latest version on my RA? it says i am running 1.1.1. is this the latest? if not how do i upgrade?

when you launch the arduino program, it should check if you have the latest version. if it doesn't, there is a menu option that will check for the latest version. I don't know what the menu is off hand but it's listed by the wizard menu entry.

Yeah, not really a firmware per se. Every time you upload a sketch the required parts of the libraries go with it so make sure you have the latest libraries, which are 1.1.1 unless you go get the dev libraries on Github.com.

Yes, my libraries are 1.1.1. Does that mean my RA is at the latest and greatest? I got my controller used and want to make I'm up to date.

Yup. Unless you want to use the Dev libraries (kind of like a beta). Since you're just getting started, I'd recommend you stay with the 1.1.1 published version.
