Using eclipse for development

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has successfully used eclipse to develop code for the Reef Angel? The arduino IDE is anemic and I'm really looking for something more advanced.

I found this: http://docs.platformio.org/en/latest/ide/eclipse.html

However, it uses something called platformio. The first question is... What board does the Reef Angel use? Is it an UNO?

Any advice is appreciated. If/When I get it to work I would be happy to document instructions and a screen share showing the advantages of using eclipse.

Thanks in advance,

-LeoD

In looking in library/utility/compiler.h it appears the underlying board is an AVR32. Is that correct?
