is there a way for me to control the blue led by it self because there is a switch on the unit it self to move to to white, blue or boh on the same time. there is only one power cord for the light

Just on and off. As it's probably a weak light, I would suggest using both and then controlling it with a timer. I would consider replacing it or supplementing it depending on what you're trying to keep.
